This digital portfolio was created for LAI 574 and represents my understanding of the 6 course competencies required by the New York State Education Department.

The competencies are as follows:

• Competency 1: Categories of disabilities
• Competency 2: Identification and remediation of disabilities
• Competency 3: The special education process, State/Federal special education laws/regulations, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
• Competency 4: Individualizing instruction (IEP, Instructional strategies)
• Competency 5: Applying positive behavioral supports and interventions to address student and classroom management needs (PBIS)
